What to Pack:

The dress code for each day:

Wednesday – Travel shirt and jeans/pants

Thursday – AM Venice High School (Team/Sports Med) shirt/hoodie/jacket and jeans/pants/no Adidas gear   PM – T-shirts and pants you can move in

Friday – Black polos and khakis (Students are encouraged to wear school colors at the dance.)

Saturday – Ringer shirts and jeans/pants

Sunday – Travel shirt and jeans/pants

All students are expected to pack in a carry on size bag. There will be a bag checked by the chaperones to accommodate toiletries. Each student should pack the minimum needed for 4 nights and should have their toiletries in one compact bag.

Alaska Air Carry On Baggage Policy:

The following baggage rules apply only when traveling on Alaska Airlines. If your itinerary includes travel on another airline, please check that airline’s Web site for their specific baggage rules.

You’re allowed one carry-on bag, which including wheels and handles can measure up to 10″ H x 17″ W x 24″ L (25 x 43 x 61 cm), plus one personal item, such as a purse, briefcase or laptop computer. At least one of the items should be stowed under the seat in front of you.

Every effort will be made to accommodate your carry-on in the passenger cabin. Acceptance of carry-on baggage is subject to space availability on the aircraft at the time you board. In the event adequate space is not available, your carry-on bag will be checked for no charge to baggage claim at your final destination.

Items exceeding the free carry-on allowance will be charged $25 per piece and tagged for delivery to baggage claim at your destination.

In their free time student may dress casually yet school appropriate

Both Wednesday and Thursday have rain in the forecast. The tour of Nike will include walking between buildings, so please be sure to bring a weather appropriate jacket.

Spending Money:

Breakfast is provided by the hotels every morning.  On Thursday we will have box lunches at Nike. Students will still need spending money for lunch/dinner/shopping/free time. There is a Target and an AM/PM within walking distance of the hotel in Yakima if the students want to have snacks in their rooms.

We will be shopping at the Nike Company store.  Students have expressed concern about getting their “loot” home. We will look into shipping options either through Nike at the time of purchase or on Friday and shipping would be an additional cost to be covered by the student.  Another suggestion is that students can group together and bring an extra bag to check on the way home for $25 per bag.
